How to Enjoy the Tour

Step 1: Choose several tour sites below to visit, being aware that you might not be able to see everything in one day.  You can start anywhere - the tour is self-guided and there is no admission charge!

Step 2: Load up your car with your friends and family and begin your tour!  Bring a cooler and pick up some fresh veggies, let your kids enjoy a hay-ride and barnyard animals, watch our artists in action and purchase their works while enjoying a day in the country!

Step 3: Visit our Ag + Art Tour information table at your first tour stop to sign-in.  You will be counted at each tour stop you visit but you only need to sign in at your first stop.  Be sure to use #agandarttour in all of your social media check-ins!

Step 4: Don't forget to check out farms and artisans in other participating counties!
With 10 counties over 5 weekends there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy!

YCE1. Baker Farm

At Baker Farm we are a small, first generation family farm.  After years of producing heritage breed pork we decided to fulfill my dream of growing my own yarn to and widened our horizons into fiber animals, including Gulf Coast Native and Shetland Sheep, Angora Goats, and Angora Rabbits.   Come let the tiny farmers (our daughters) take you for a walk around the farm, see our truffle orchard, learn about fiber farming, meet lots of animals, and take home some homemade items and delicious pork!

The Catawba Senior Center provides services to more than 80 Catawba and local Senior Citizens and includes a community garden. Our tribal Elders will be selling their arts during our tour time.

We are a small working farm raising beef cattle, cage-free chickens, eggs, hay, corn and pumpkins.  We also raise alpacas and use their fiber to make yarn and clothing.  We will have live demonstrations of "Fleece to Fiber" including the spinning wheel and loom, live demonstrations of our Wood Miser Saw, and Black Smith, David Chambers will be on location showing off his skills.  Other activities available will be a self-guided tour of our barnyard animals, a children's play area and hayrides for 3.00/person (cash only).

A small pasture-based farm that raises rare Gulf Coast sheep, along with heritage breed pigs, pastured poultry, and dairy goats. Visitors will be able to interact with our sheep and dairy goats; see our laying flock, broiler chickens, turkeys, and pigs; and learn about sustainable farming.  Farm products available to purchase include non-GMO pastured meats (chicken, pork, and lamb), eggs, seasonal produce, wool yarn, and sheepskin rugs.

We are a private, family run horse breeding farm. From Thoroughbred breeding stock, we produce young horses that are athletically suited to perform in the Olympic equestrian disciplines of Three Day Eventing, Dressage, and Show Jumping.

This year our focus is on baby animals, feeding bottle calves, and milking goats. We will have archery demonstrations and goat yoga as well as things for kids to do! All of our meats will be on sale as well as all-natural soaps lotions and body butters made by Our Table Farms.

A community garden located on Winthrop University's campus with 18 garden plots growing a variety of fruits and vegetables.  Other related activities that support the garden will also be on display. Representatives from Winthrop and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions about the garden and/or about gardening in general.    Families with children are welcome!

Since the early 1970s, Tega Hills Farm has used hydroponic growing techniques in greenhouses to grow lettuce, tender greens, microgreens, seasonal produce such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash, and specialty produce such as squash blossoms, edible flowers and herbs. We currently use three different hydroponic systems in a half-acre of covered growing area. You will be able to purchase lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and other seasonal produce the day of the tour.
