HOW TO ENJOY THE TOUR
FAQs
Why Ag AND Art?
Many farms and artisans count on each other to continue their passion, craft and living! What is a textile artist without sheared sheep? What is a potter without fresh milk, honey and fruit to fill their pitchers and bowls? Bridging the two together through this tour is an honor!
Is the tour really FREE?
Yes, there is no admission fee to enter the tour sites; however, there will likely be a charge to purchase food, beverages and farmer’s and artisan’s products. Some activities may also have a cost.
Where do I start the tour?
The tour is free and self-guided. Start anywhere and begin your weekend(s) of farm and art fun! Plan your tour by visiting the 'Participating Counties' menu item above, exploring our interactive tour map, and seeing which artisans will be at the sites (announced in April and leading up to each weekend of the tour). Be sure to sign-in at each site throughout your tour.
What if it rains or storms?
The tour takes place rain or shine! Sites may close if there is a threat of severe weather as the safety of our visitors, farmers, and artisans is our #1 priority! Please follow us on social for updates and notices.
Can I bring my dog on the tour?
While we love our four legged friends, we encourage visitors to keep your pets at home. Since our tour sites include working farms, dogs can bring food safety and livestock challenges. Service animals are allowed as needed.
How can my county participate next year?
Contact tour administration at contact@agandarttour.com to begin the discussion! There are steps to becoming a part of the tour and we would love to start the planning with you!
FARM RULES
Please DO NOT:
1. Bring non-service pets onto the farm.
2. Enter private homes.
3. Leave your children unattended. Please take time to wash your hands and make sure children wash their hands after petting any animal. You may also be asked to disinfect your shoes at farms with livestock to prevent farm-to-farm germ transmission.
CAUTION!
Be aware that you are entering a working farm. Please be considerate of posted signs and potential hazards. Under South Carolina law, an agritourism professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in an agritourism activity resulting from an inherent risk associated with the agritourism activity.
Events and information are subject to change. Please check this website and social media for the most up-to-date information.
